Making their Met Gala debut on 4 May, Heated Rivalry stars Hudson Williams and Connor Storrie arrived in Balenciaga and Saint Laurent.
Embracing the 2026 theme “Costume Art”, with the dress code “Fashion Is Art”, Storrie stepped out first in custom YSL, this year’s main sponsor.
After removing his blazer, the actor revealed a sleeveless black-and-white polka dot extra-long lavallière top in silk muslin, sweeping the steps of the Costume Institute at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
“It’s super-duper YSL, super Saint Laurent” – Connor Storrie on his Met Gala debut look

He paired the look with smooth leather high-rise trousers, cinched with a minimal black belt featuring a decorative gold buckle, completing the outfit with pointed Roman boots.
Speaking to GQ, he detailed his Met Gala debut look: “smoking jacket, super-wide shoulder, very black, very, very classic YSL.”
Storrie continued: “A wide, uber-straight leg. And then I have this floor-length bow that falls off the back of it. It’s like a pussy-bow top without the sleeves, but then the bow goes in the back and it creates this waterfall train that’s underneath the blazer… So you get kind of a two-beat moment. It’s super-duper YSL, super Saint Laurent.”
What did Hudson William’s wear to the Met Gala 2026?

Williams followed in a custom Balenciaga look designed under creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli, inspired by a 1947 bolero jacket by house founder Cristóbal Balenciaga.
Dressed in a torero-inspired trompe-l’oeil collar jacket and matching light blue wool trousers, embroidered with black pearls, velvet and satin in homage to a traditional Spanish matador suit, the look was worn unbuttoned to reveal his abs.
In a nod to his Heated Rivalry co-star’s muslin train, Williams paired the outfit with a black silk faille cape – a detail not missed by eagle-eyed fans.
What inspired Williams’s Met Gala 2026 make-up look?
The Canadian actor completed his baby-blue Met Gala look with a daring make-up design inspired by the 2010 film Black Swan, starring Natalie Portman.
Painted with red and blue eyeshadow traced across his lids and finished with a bold black eyeliner wing, the colours trailed down his cheeks.
Speaking to Bazaar, Williams’s make-up artist Aika Flores said the eye look was inspired by a “white swan transforming into a black swan.”
“A journey where innocence gives way and grace takes on a darker edge,” she continued.
