Alison Hammond says she feared ‘heart attack’ after running off This Morning

Alison Hammond has been keeping fans up to date after she sparked concern by running off This Morning live on air, clutching her chest, on Friday (2 October).
Her latest comments came under a social media post shared by Katie Hopkins, where she said she feared she was having a “heart attack”.
Over the weekend, Hammond revealed she had returned home after being hospitalised on Friday. Following checks on her heart, doctors told her she had suffered a “massive panic attack”.

Posting to her Instagram Story, the Great British Bake Off presenter said: “‘Hi everyone, I’m just getting in touch to let you all know I’m home, I’m safe, and I’m feeling so much better, thanks to everyone at the NHS who did the checks on my heart, lungs, bloods.”
“I’m all OK, it’s all clear which would mean I had a massive panic attack on live TV. I mean the shame of it,” she made light of the situation.
“I mean it felt very real to me, I’m really new to panic attacks so I need to learn more about it. But I just want to say a massive thank you to everyone at This Morning who looked after me, all of your messages, Dermot [O’Leary] who has just been incredible, everyone has just, honestly it’s really warmed my heart actually,” Hammond added.
“I mean this is a new world to me. I’m going to take stock, get some rest and I’ll see you soon. Love ya,” she told fans.

Following public concern for the TV star, controversial social media personality Hopkins took to Instagram to fat-shame Hammond.
“Get a grip, there’s real people out there with real problems,” she said. “For Christ’s sake Alison just do whatever it is you do. Eat.”
Hammond replied in the comments section, gracefully. “I’m still a Chumba womba babs!! I thought it was a heart attack it was very scary. I wouldn’t wish it on anyone , even you cos you are beautiful on inside and out,” wrote the presenter.
