The winner of the Attitude x Wex Photo Video contest has been chosen, marking the conclusion of our month-long extravaganza under the theme “celebrating individuality”.

After painstaking deliberations from our expert panel, the winning image is this Barbie-inspired self-portrait from London-based visual artist Elias Avramidis.

Congratulations to Elias, who has snatched a Canon EOS R8 camera and RF24-50mm lens worth £1,899. We trust that Elias will use this kit to capture even more fabulousity for many years to come.

“I am super excited to have won this competition,” Elias told Attitude. He hopes his image will inspire people to “stay true to who you are and show off your fabulous individuality!”

“There is still a lot of censorship and shaming in the world, even from the people close to you. Everyone should be able to express themselves and celebrate their individuality,” he added.

“As an artist, I struggled the first few years to find my individuality and identity, so now that I’ve found it, I feel more comfortable and happy – whether people approve or not!” Wise words indeed.

A panel made up of Attitude, Wex, and Greg Bailey chose the winning photo from hundreds of entries.

Professional photographer Greg has gained renown for his work in the LGBTQ+ community. He has worked with the biggest names in the world of drag. This includes Bob The Drag Queen, Trixie Mattel, Courtney Act, and practically every Ru Girl in between.

On his individuality, Greg told us: “There is always going to be pressure to be original within the industry, but what I’ve come to learn is that my individuality is made up of what I choose to consume and who I choose to be as a creative”.

“I celebrate individuality by photographing and working with like-minded people, and showcasing who they are by collaborating and blending what we both do,” Greg added.
