American Apparel returns to the UK with a brand new focus on diversity

The US favourite has returned to the UK after closing last year.

The world shed a tear last year when the news that American Apparel was to close its all its stores and online store. Fast forward 12 months and the US high street brand is back.

Hot off the heels of the brand’s American relaunch last year, the LA-based label has returned to the UK – in online form, at least – a fresh focus body positivity and diversity.

Loyal fans of the brand can look forward to seeing some old favourites, with jeans, bodysuits, hoodies and pullovers returning alongside classic t-shirts and vests in a bright range of colours just in time for summer.

American Apparel’s ‘Back to Basics’ launch campaign features a line of up of everyday male and female models over 21, sticking to the brand’s pledge to work with real everyday people of all ages, body types and ethnicity.
