Ex-gay porn star to run for party opposing LGBTQ-inclusive education in Scottish election

German ex-gay porn star Philipp Tanzer has announced a run for Scottish parliament in May’s Holyrood election.

Tanzer – whose adult movies include Hotter Than Hell 2 and Rear Deliveries – will stand for the Scottish Family Party, which oppose LGBTQ-inclusive education.

According to men’s rights activist Tanzer, the party “best represent my views on life and society.”

Previously known as Logan McCree, Tanzer will run as a regional list candidate for the Highlands and Islands after moving to Durness, Sutherland, the most north-westerly village on mainland Britain, in 2012.

Since leaving porn he has worked as a fireman and hairdresser, and is now in a relationship with a woman and considering “marriage and starting a family,” reports The Times.

The 43-year-old is also quoted by the publication as saying of his time in porn: “In one year I lost five friends in the industry to suicide and drug overdoses. I have seen the harm porn addiction can do.”

He later added: “Porn is not a men’s problem. Both boys and girls consume pornography and both suffer under its impact. When I was younger I was not clear what path I would take. I was pushed into identifying myself as something at the age of 32 that I was not.”

Tanzer was previously the subject of BBC Three documentary I Am A Men’s Rights Activist.

The SFP’s view on LGBTQ-inclusive schooling

On LGBTQ-inclusive education, the SFP’s official website states: “The LGBT Inclusive Education programme […] mandates the indoctrination of schoolchildren into a radical ideology of sexuality.” 

It adds: “Pupils are inducted into LGBT activism from primary school, as familiar campaigning symbols and slogans are presented in lessons.   

“The philosophy of gender fluidity is dangerous to young people, leading to confusion and unhelpful experimentation. Parents should have a strong voice in determining how these issues are approached in schools. Indoctrination into the fashionable philosophy of gender is not appropriate and will lead more children down a difficult road that could seriously undermine their wellbeing for the rest of their lives.”

On same-sex parenting, it adds: “Children should be brought up by a mum and a dad, providing a male and female role model and complementary qualities.

“The SFP does not support the use of NHS resources for any fertility-related treatment apart from for a man and woman in a long-term stable relationship. There must be an intention of a child being brought up by a mother and father.”
