The Netflix family is a loving one clearly as the stars of the hit series Young Royals are among those who’ve sent love to Kit Connor after he came out as bisexual.

On Monday (31 October) the Heartstopper star who’s faced accusations of queerbaiting came out on Twitter.

He wrote: “back for a minute. i’m bi. congrats for forcing an 18 year old to out himself. i think some of you missed the point of the show. bye”.

The actor had seemingly been driven off the platform by the queerbaiting accusations and tweeted he was “bored” of the app in September.

As well as the Heartstopper clan rallying around Kit, Omar Rudberg and Edvin Ryding, the stars of Young Royals, both tweeted their support for the young actor.

Omar commented the situation in which Kit had been forced to come out was sad adding, “People are mean. Sending hugs your way. Fuck ‘em!!”

Edvin added: “feel for you Kit, sending all the love i have your way”

Joe Locke, who plays Charlie Spring opposite Kit’s Nick Nelson wrote: “You owe nothing to anyone. I’m so proud of you my friend”

Welsh actor Luke Evans lamented that it “Seems like things don’t change,” and sent his best wishes to Kit. He added, “You owe no explanation to anyone. The trolls of social media are empty and useless. Power to you! Invincible!”

Former Attitude cover star and Olympic swimmer Michael Gunning echoed Luke’s sentiments. he tweeted: “What happened to Kit Connor MUST change! He’s 18 years old & there should never be a pressure for public figures (or anyone) to label their sexuality before they are ready. Everyone’s journey is their own!”

Baby Queen, whose song ‘Colours of You’, was written for the show, added: “you should never have to explain or define yourself for anybody else’s sake. we love you kit”.

The whole of Attitude is sending love to Kit ❤️
