With the likes of Lady Gaga, Naomi Campbell and the Beckhams in attendance, last night’s British Fashion Awards in London was one most star-studded events of the year – so naturally, Britain’s most desperate fashion and PR experts, Edina Monsoon and Patsy Stone, made sure they were on hand to see and be seen.
Fresh off the set of Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie, Jennifer Saunders and Joanna Lumley stole the show at last night’s ceremony, staying in character throughout as they clutched glasses of Chardonnay on the red carpet and presented Stella McCartney with the award for Brand of the Year.
The pair’s incredible starring moment saw Edina give a “shout out to all the homies”, while Patsy had some advice for any aspiring designers and models out there.
“The winner has literally come from nowhere. She’s been making bags out of the pubic hair of wheatgrass for years,” Eddie teased. “It’s Stella!”
She continued: “Stella! Please let me in your shop one day!”
As if the star-studded on-set pictures and sight of one hundred drag queens filming at The Royal Vauxhall Tavern weren’t enough, this latest stunt has seriously amped up our excitement to see Patsy and Edina’s first silver screen outing.
