This gay marine wants Steve Grand to be his date to the Marine Corps ball

By Nick Bond

Gay US Marine Tanner White took to YouTube earlier this week with a public plea for out country-pop singer Steve Grand: Be his date to the Marine Corps ball.

In a video that’s already been viewed almost 50,000 times – and tweeted and shared on Grand’s Facebook page a multitude of times over the past 24 hours – White issues his plea to get the singer to attend the ball as his date:

Singer Steve Grand

“This video is for the all-American boy, Steve Grand. Steve, you are an amazing singer. I’ve seen some of your blog videos and they were awesome. I would like for you to go with me to the 2015 Marine Corps ball in Wilmington, North Carolina as my date. Hopefully you say yes. If not, it was worth a shot.”

So far, Grand hasn’t responded publicly to the request – we can only assume he’s checking his calendar – but we’ll keep you posted on developments on this date-in-the-making. After all, who can say no to a man in uniform?
