Kevin Jonas has revealed that he accidentally sent a photo of his penis to a group chat with his brothers and friends.

The singer shared the story in the latest episode of the Jonas Brothers’ Hey Jonas! podcast, explaining how a photo of his TV ended up including more than he intended.

Kevin had been watching news about J.J. McCarthy becoming the starting quarterback for the New York Giants on Sunday (25 October). He took a picture of his TV and sent it to a group chat called “GO BLUE”, which includes brothers Nick and Joe, alongside their original tour drummer, photographer and several friends.

“The photo has mirrors, and I didn’t clock it” – Kevin Jonas on his accidental naked snap

What Kevin failed to notice was that the mirrors surrounding his bathroom television had captured his nether regions in the shot.

“The photo has mirrors, and I didn’t clock it,” he said. “And it was in our bathroom, and I took the photo as I’m getting into the shower.”

Joe explained how the reflection appeared in the image, saying: “You have a massive TV in your bathroom, but there’s mirrors surrounding the TV and you can only see… it’s like the greatest thing that you didn’t know happened. There’s a big TV and right below it is a mirror, and it’s only your dick. It’s literally just your wiener.”

The group chat, which Joe said “has been going for 15 years”, initially continued as normal. Nobody appeared to notice the extra detail in the photo until Kevin realised what he had sent.

He quickly began messaging the group, asking everyone to delete the image.

“I’m such a moron” – Jonas reacting to his mistake

“Guys delete the photo I’m sorry,” he wrote, followed by, “Cuck my life,” “Fuck,” and, “Delete the thread, fuck.”

When group member Rob Hoffman responded with laughing emojis, Kevin sent two more messages: “I’m such a moron,” and “Well.”

Nick was impressed by his brother’s response, saying: “What’s funny is not the photo. It’s these four texts back to back that are like poetry.”

Kevin replied: “I appreciate that ‘cause guys, I’m going to be honest, you know, I just came from the gym. The room is 62 degrees…”

How did Danielle Jonas react?

Kevin was with his wife, Danielle Jonas, when he realised what had happened. He recalled that he “threw my phone in the kitchen” before telling her about the photo.

“She goes, ‘Oh no,’” he said.

Joe revealed that he had been “on the couch playing video games” when the messages came through, while Nick was getting his hair cut. Both brothers were initially confused by Kevin’s frantic texts before working out what had happened.

The group members were “very sweet” about the accidental photo, according to Joe, who added: “Nobody wants to have a dick pic sent to them that they didn’t want.”

Kevin laughed about the incident during the podcast, referring to it as “my trauma” before adding: “Dicks out for J.J. McCarthy.”
