RuPaul’s Secret Celebrity Drag Race returns with a brand new twist

The competition is back and as fierce as ever!

The highly-anticipated second season of RuPaul’s Secret Celebrity Drag Race is back but with a twist.

Of course, RuPaul returns joined by resident judges Michelle Visage, Carson Kressley, and Ross Mathews.

Like last season, RuPaul’s Secret Celebrity Drag Race will see nine celebrity contestants complete drag transformations and compete in the ultimate lip sync showdown each week.

The twist: we will not know the celeb’s identity until they ‘sashay away’ – a Masked Singer-esque surprise, if you will.

Adding a whole new layer of intriguing mystery to the show, the famous faces will take to the runway

Offering them a helping hand, the show promises exquisite mentorship from ‘Queen Supremes’ Brooke Lynn Hytes, Jujubee, and current All Stars 7 contestant Monét X Change.

Additional Drag Race legends set to make special appearances this season include Eureka, Gottmik, Katya, Morgan McMichaels, Silky Nutmeg Ganache, and Violet Chachki.

The celebs will be whittled down until one is crowned ‘America’s Next Celeb Drag Superstar’ and awarded $100,000 for their chosen charity.

The first season of the show, which debuted in 2020, was an entirely different format: the celeb identities were revealed at the beginning of the show and Drag Race personalities were tasked with completing their drag queen makeovers.

The first four episodes are a tantalising 90 minutes and will premiere at 2:31am BST on Saturday 13 August while the final half of the season’s episodes are 60 minutes long and will air at 2:01am BST – all on WOW Presents Plus in the UK.

If you can’t get enough of Drag Race, tickets are now on sale for RuPaul’s DragCon UK, taking place from 6-8 January 2023 at ExCeL London.

The Attitude July/August issue is out now.
