Michelle Visage slams Katie Hopkins: ‘Her views are disgusting’

Michelle Visage has slammed Katie Hopkins in a new interview, insisting that she finds the columnist’s views “gross and disgusting”.
The gay icon, who starred alongside Hopkins in this year’s Celebrity Big Brother, has claimed that despite her abhorrent views, she’s able to separate a person from what they do for a living.
“I hate everything Hopkins stands for, I think it’s disgusting, but I went in there with a clean slate,” said Visage. “The thing with Katie Hopkins and me is very simple. Humans can’t understand that I can separate who somebody is or what they do for a job.”
However, Visage went on to explain that Hopkins’ comments about the hundreds of migrants injured and killed while crossing the Mediterranean “crossed the line” for her.
“But she has crossed a line for me, talking about the immigrants, saying that they should be killed. Human lives are human lives,” continued the Drag Race judge. “We also have an issue with immigration in this country, but I don’t believe anybody should be at the border ready to shoot them in the head.
“Their lives are horrible in some of these countries, I would do the same thing and try to break free for a better life. For her to be there calling them all cockroaches and saying they should all be killed is disgusting and I can’t support it,” she added.
