Mel C reveals the Spice Girls were never invited to the royal wedding
Mel B had implied the girls would be attending and performing at the wedding back in February
Mel C has revealed the Spice Girls were never invited to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding yesterday (May 19).
Back in February, Mel B appeared on US talk show The Real and implied that the girlband had been invited to the royal bash before hinting that they might perform. However, Mel C has now revealed that the band were never actually invited.
Speaking on Australian radio show Fitzy & Wippa this week, Mel C said: “I should clear up the invitation part of it – we weren’t invited!”
Then, when asked if they would have performed or attended as a guest, she said: “No. We were never invited. We were never asked to perform. And I was a little bit annoyed, actually!”
The only Spice Girl who did attend the wedding at St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle was Victoria Beckham alongside husband David Beckham.
Other celebrities attending the event included Elton John and husband David Furnish, Oprah Winfrey, James Corden and wife Julia Carey as well as Amal and George Clooney.
