Madonna on album: ‘Good things come to those who wait’

By Josh Haggis

Madonna has hinted that her new album is not quite finished yet.

The Queen of Pop is currently working on material for her 13th studio album, and shared a picture of herself on Instagram earlier today (September 4), in which she appears to warn fans that the release date is a little way off yet.

The singer posted the picture below along with the caption: “Good things come to those who wait! I cannot serve a half Baked. Cake! #unapologeticbitch.”

Meanwhile, Madonna has recently shared some lyrics which could appear on her new album on Instagram – take a look here.

A newspaper claims to have obtained lyrics from two other songs earmarked for the album – check them out here.

In recent months, the Queen of Pop has used her Instagram to reveal the diverse palette of collaborators she has assembled for her new album. The list now comprises MIA collaborator Diplo, Sky Ferreira/Haim producer Ariel Rechtshaid, Wrecking Ball co-writer MoZella, DJ/producer Avicii, former Lady Gaga collaborator Martin Kierszenbaum, cult pop singer Natalia Kills, rising British popstar MNEK, US hit-maker Toby Gad and R&B producer Symbolyc One.

Madonna’s last studio album, MDNA, was released in 2012 and reached Number One in the US and UK. She scored her 13th and most recent UK chart-topping single with 4 Minutes in 2008.
