Luke Evans and Hugh Jackman have a Beauty and the Beast-inspired sing-off

By Will Stroude

What do you do when you’re confronted with two alpha A-listers with Disney musical experience? A sing-off of course!

Jonathan Ross made the most of his guests Luke Evans and Hugh Jackman on last Friday’s edition of his weekly chat show when he pitted the pair against each other in a battle to be crowned the best Gaston, from Disney’s Beauty and the Beast.

Both hunks have previous when it comes to the role: Evans will star in 2017’s upcoming live action version of the Disney classic, opposite Harry Potter’s Emma Watson, while Hugh Jackman held down the role in an Australian production of the musical back in 1996.

While both guys put on an impressive display, it was actually Jackman’s cheeky Eddie the Eagle co-star Taaron Edgerton who won the audience over after showing off his own vocals before joining Ross and fellow guest Shazia Mirza in the drunken villager chorus.

Evans will star as Gaston in Beauty and the Beast, which is due for release on March 17, 2017, while Jackman and Egerton will hit UK screens in Eddie the Eagle next Monday, March 28.
