Little Mix have discussed the band’s drag king looks for new music video ‘Confetti’.

The video – the girls’ first since Jesy Nelson quit the band last year – dropped last week, and features appearances from RuPaul’s Drag Race UK stars Tayce, Bimini and more.

Perrie Edwards, Jade Thirlwall and Leigh-Anne Pinnock dressed as male alter-egos for the clip, with Perrie resembling an early 00s Justin Bieber…

“It was like taking off your bra”

The star said on BBC radio yesterday: “I actually think I cried. I was like, ‘I can’t be a boy, I’m not very good at it!’ It was really hard because like, Jade was living her best life. She was like, ‘I wear baggy stuff anyway, I love being like, slouched…'”

Jade added: “It was probably the most fun we’ve ever had on a video shoot. We obviously are the male versions of ourselves.”

She continued: “It was something that we’ve wanted to do for such a long time. It took about six, seven hours getting prosthetics done for it, so we really went all in… We really delivered.”

Perrie, who thought she looked “stupid” as a guy, added: “It was fun but the prosthetics, jeez. When they peeled them off at the end of the day, it was like taking off your bra. It was the best feeling in the world.”

The band’s new video (and Leigh-Anne’s pregnancy announcement) roughly coincides with Jesy’s first interview since leaving the band.

She told the new issue of Cosmopolitan UK, out this week: “On the day of [Little Mix’s previous single] ‘Sweet Melody’ video I had a panic attack on set because I didn’t look how I wanted to look and I found it so hard to just be happy and enjoy myself.

“There’s a scene in ‘Sweet Melody’ I’m not in because that’s when I had a panic attack and broke down. I was like, ‘I just want to go home.’”
