Lil Nas X has dropped details about his hotly-anticipated new single Montero (Call Me By Your Name).

The track – the title of which references the hit movie CMBYN, starring Timothée Chalamet and Armie Hammer – is due for release on 26 March 2021.

Sharing the news on Twitter, ‘Old Town Road’ singer Lil Nas also posted the single artwork for the track, in which he poses nude in a scene inspired by Michelangelo’s fresco painting The Creation of Adam.

“Who do u think would be a good feature?”

On Instagram, the 21-year-old added: “20K COMMENTS AND WE DROP THE VIDEO TOO!”

The star first teased a 38-second clip of the song back in July 2020, asking fans: “Who do u think would be a good feature?”

Lyrics shared in the snippet include: ‘Romantic talkin’, you don’t even have to try/You’re cute enough to fuck with me tonight/Lookin’ at the table, all I see is weed and wine/Baby, you livin’ the life with me or you ain’t livin’ right.’

On the chorus (again, only as per the snippet) the star then sings: ‘Call me when you want, call me when you need/Call me in the morning, I’ll be on the way/Call me when you want, call me when you need/Call me out by your name, I’ll be on the way like.’

The out gay star has since scored hits like ‘Holiday’ and ‘Panini’.
