Lady Gaga has released a video for a brand new version of her track ‘Joanne’.

The ‘Million Reasons’ singer took to Twitter this week (January 24) to announce she had a surprise for fans ahead of her performance at the Grammy Awards this weekend, where her album Joanne is nominated for Best Pop Vocal Album.

It came in the form of a brand new version of her most recent album’s title track, which was inspired by her late aunt who died at the age of 19 after battling the chronic autoimmune disease Lupus.

Gaga said she hoped the track would raise awareness of the condition, which also affects fellow pop star Selena Gomez.

“The Lupus Research Alliance is receiving a donation in honour of Joanne Stefani Germanotta,” Gaga wrote. “Please consider a donation to this tremendous organisation.”
