RuPaul’s Drag Race UK is back and among this year’s crop of celebrity guest judges are Alison Hammond, Dame Joanna Lumley, and Olly Alexander.

RuPaul will soon be returning for the fourth season of the show to oversee drag queens competing for the coveted title of UK’s Next Drag Race Superstar, alongside her Drag Race UK sidekicks, Michelle Visage, Alan Carr, and Graham Norton.

The celebrity guest judges are: Actress and activist Dame Joanna Lumley, TV presenter Alison Hammond, actress Hannah Waddingham, Boy George, fashion model and celebrity chef Lorraine Pascale, Spice Girls member Mel B, model, presenter, and influencer Leomie Anderson, Olly Alexander, and FKA twigs

But that’s not all! There are also some extra-special celebrity guests who will be appearing in weekly challenges.

Tess Daly and AJ Odudu will be taking part in Snatch Game, while Aisling Bea will be helping out with a comedy challenge.

Legendary singer-songwriter Cathy Dennis will stop by the Werk Room to give the queens a songwriting master class, and Strictly Come Dancing 2021 champion dancer Giovanni Pernice will be putting the queens through their paces as he prepares the queens for an all-singing and all dancing challenge.

Sharing her excitement about appearing on the show, Dame Joanna Lumley says: “It thrills me to be a part of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK. The show is astounding at every level, and I loved it from the very start.”

“RuPaul is the definition of what it is to be fabulous, and the show is packed with mad creativity, humour, and drop-dead glamour,” she continues.

Drag Race is such a phenomenon and it has unleashed intense creativity and debate. RuPaul has made the concept of drag into a household name! I’m part of the drag daisy chain,” Boy George says.

“Every nice drag queen is my sister and the rest are second cousins! It was a lot of fun being part of the show!”

Drag Race has had a big impact on my life so it was pretty mind-blowing to be part of the judging panel this series,” Olly Alexander says.

“It felt like a real privilege to be a part of this show and support such amazing talent here in the UK,” he adds. “I had so much fun and I can’t wait for the world to meet the queens, they were great!”

The Attitude September/October issue is out now.
