Courtney Act makes history after dropping drag persona for ‘Dancing with the Stars Australia’ semi-final

The 'RuPaul Drag Race' star dropped her drag alter ego and danced as Shane Jenek

By Steve Brown

Courtney Act has made Dancing with the Stars Australia history by performing in a same-sex couple.

The RuPaul Drag Race alum and Celebrity Big Brother winner has been wowing audiences each week and for the first time, she dropped her drag persona and took to the stage to dance with her partner Joshua Keefe as Shane Jenek.

Taking to the stage, the couple danced a fusion foxtrot/tango to Britney Spears’ ‘Toxic’ and aced the scoreboard with a whopping 29 out of 30.

Although Courtney has been performing as her drag alter ego throughout the show, this marks the first time in the show’s history that two men have danced together.

Now Courtney has aced it through the semi-finals and will perform in the finals next week.
