Christina Aguilera has released a new ballad for Disney’s live-action remake of Mulan.

Back in 1998, the film studio released the animated classic which featured Aguilera’s ballad ‘Reflection’.

And this year, Disney are set to release a live-action remake of the classic film – which had voicing talents of Eddie Murphy, Lea Solange and B D Wong – but the studio revealed the reboot won’t be a musical.

However, bits of the hit song ‘Reflection’ have been used in trailers for the film and now Aguilera has revealed she has recorded a new take on the song as well as some new material for the live-action reboot.

During a performance of her Las Vegas residency Xperience, Aguilera told the crowd she has re-recorded ‘Reflection’ as well as brand new music.

And now, the new power balled ‘Loyal Brave True’ has been released and it encompasses everything that is Christina Aguilera.

With lyrics such as “Should I ask myself in the water what a warrior would do? Tell me underneath my armor am I loyal, brave, and true?” it’s definitely one to go down in the books of amazing Disney songs.

In a press statement, Aguilera said: “The film Mulan and the song ‘Reflection’ coincided with getting me my first record deal.

“It’s amazing to come back to such an incredible movie that’s full of power and meaning, and that meaning holds the test of time: staying true to yourself, being who you are, and teaching how to be fearless.

“My new song, ‘Loyal Brave True,’ represents the fine balance between vulnerability and strength.”
