And this year, Disney are set to release a live-action remake of the classic film – which had voicing talents of Eddie Murphy, Lea Solange and B D Wong – but the studio revealed the reboot won’t be a musical.

However, bits of the hit song ‘Reflection’ have been used in trailers for the film and now Aguilera has revealed she has recorded a new take on the song as well as some new material for the live-action reboot.

During a performance of her Las Vegas residency Xperience, Aguilera told the crowd: “The live action Mulan is coming out by the way.

“You have to go see it. I recorded a new ‘Reflection’ and new material for the movie.

“I’ve been working on that, but this is the original.”

Aguilera then belted out the ballad to adoring fans.
