Artist transforms ‘My Little Pony’ toys into pop icons

By Josh Haggis

An artist seems to have found her niche transforming My Little Pony toys into pop culture icons.

Mari Kasurinen, a 30-year-old Finnish artist, has recreated some of the most memorable looks from famous faces such as Madonna, Lady Gaga, and Karl Lagerfeld, as well as fictional characters including Batman and Robin and He-Man, with figurines she likes to call “My Little Pop Icons”.

“I make art because it’s pretty,” Kasurinen told our friends at Queerty.

Take a look at some of her fabulous creations below, courtesy of Queerty, who also have many more examples of Kasurinen’s My Little Pop Icons for you to eye up.
