All Stars 5 teaser promises ‘the biggest shake-up in herstory’ – WATCH

All Stars rules have been suspended "forever". Gulp.

All Stars 5 looks set to provide the d-r-a-m-a when it arrives on screens in the US next month – and don’t say you weren’t warned.

After the queens returning to the workroom for a chance to win $100,000 and a coveted spot in the Drag Race Hall of Fame were confirmed on Friday (8 May), a new teaser as confirmed that this won’t be just any season of All Stars.

The new promo clips sees Ru suspending All Stars rules “forever” before a mysterious figure is seen emerging from behind a screen onto the and voiceover declares that “the biggest shake-up in herstory” is coming.

Gulp.

Considered All Stars 5 was for a short time billed as a ‘special’ edition of Drag Race (one that was due to air on US network Showtime before the coronavirus crisis saw it sent back to VH1), we’re expecting this mysterious twist to be big indeed.

In case you missed last week’s announcement, the queens heading back for a second shot at glory are: Alexis Mateo (Season 3, All Stars 1), Blair St. Clair (Season 10), Derrick Barry (Season 8), India Ferrah (Season 3), Jujubee (Season 2, All Stars 1), Mariah Paris Balenciaga (Season 3), Mayhem Miller (Season 10), Miz Cracker (Season 10), Ongina (Season 1) and Shea Couleé (Season 9).

While it’s unknownn when All Stars 5 will air in the UK, it’s likely to do so on Netflix, which is currently streaming All Stars 4.

RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 5 premieres on 5 June on VH1 in the US.
