A new chemsex documentary exploring recovery and the lived experiences of four queer men in London is set to premiere on 7 and 8 November 2026.
Presented by Impulse London, the film, Chemtrail: The Journey, aims to challenge stigma around chemsex, raise awareness and highlight the support available to people who need it.
The documentary follows Ben Kaye, Pank Senthi, Declan Hunter and Matthew Nugent, sharing their lived experiences of chemsex and their journeys towards support and recovery.

LGBTQ+ directors and producers John Reavy and Jordi Estapé Montserrat created the documentary in collaboration with Impulse London.
The name takes inspiration from the non-profit organisation’s arts-led awareness events, titled Chemtrail, which aim to encourage open conversations about chemsex.
The organisation previously staged Chemtrail and Chemtrail: This Is Killing Us in 2024 and 2025. Last year’s art exhibition spotlighted intimate and vulnerable images of men at 15 Bateman Street, Soho.
President of Impulse London, Alex Tridico, spoke about the importance of the events and taking the next step in raising awareness through the new documentary.
“This film takes that further” – Alex Tridico on raising chemsex awareness

“Over the past two years, our Chemtrail events have used art to continue conversations about chemsex in our community. This film takes that further.”
He explained: “By listening to people’s stories in their own words, we can better understand the different routes people took to find support and recovery, and we hope to make it easier for others to take that first step.”
Each November screening will be held at Rich Mix on Bethnal Green Road in London and will be followed by a talk exploring the film’s themes and the different pathways to support and recovery available to those affected.
Tickets are on sale now and cost £5, with a pay-what-you-can option and free community tickets available. All proceeds will go to Controlling Chemsex and London Friend’s Antidote service.
Chemtrail: The Journey will run from 2pm on 7 and 8 November 2026 at Rich Mix on Bethnal Green Road.
