Victoria Beckham accused of ‘grinding’ and ‘nuzzling’ Brooklyn as new details emerge over wedding dance
Sources have now described the alleged dance in more detail

New details have emerged about the wedding reception moment that Brooklyn Beckham claims caused a major rupture within his family.
In a statement shared this week, Brooklyn accused his mother, Victoria Beckham, of behaving “very inappropriately” during what he says was meant to be his first dance with wife Nicola Peltz at their 2022 Florida wedding.
Brooklyn said the incident left him “more uncomfortable and humiliated than ever in my life”.
“She was dancing with him very inappropriately. She took that moment from Nicola, that is the god’s truth” – a source told Page Six
Sources have now described the alleged dance in more detail. According to Page Six, Victoria “wrapped her arms around Brooklyn and nuzzled into his neck” at the reception.
One said: “She was dancing with him very inappropriately. She took that moment from Nicola, that is the god’s truth.”
Peltz allegedly left the reception crying, before later returning. The same source said she appeared upset for the remainder of the evening.
Another insider told The Sun that Brooklyn was “so embarrassed” by what happened and that Peltz was “humiliated and furious to have been upstaged”. They added: “She made her feelings very, very clear on the day. It soured the whole evening.”
“My wife has been consistently disrespected by my family, no matter how hard we’ve tried to come together as one” – Brooklyn Beckham
However, conflicting accounts have also emerged. A different source said David and Victoria were “baffled” by the allegations and believed the reception atmosphere was positive. They described Victoria as “a tad tipsy and having fun” and claimed there was “absolutely no malice” involved.
Brooklyn’s statement suggested the issue was part of a wider pattern. He alleged tensions had already escalated before the ceremony itself.
He wrote: “The night before our wedding, members of my family told me that Nicola was ‘not blood’ and ‘not family’.”
He added: “My wife has been consistently disrespected by my family, no matter how hard we’ve tried to come together as one.”
Brooklyn also rejected claims that Peltz controls him. He wrote: “The narrative that my wife controls me is completely backwards. I have been controlled by my parents for most of my life.”
“I was there and she did, he’s telling the truth” – Stavros Agapiou, husband of DJ Fat Tony
He further claimed that image management played a role in the family rift, writing: “My family values public promotion and endorsements above all else. Brand Beckham comes first.”
The wedding operated under a strict no-phones policy. Guests were required to surrender their devices on arrival and were given basic flip phones instead. As a result, Brooklyn and Peltz are believed to control all official footage from the day.
One guest, Stavros Agapiou, the husband of DJ Fat Tony, supported Brooklyn’s account online. In a now-deleted comment, he wrote: “I was there and she did, he’s telling the truth.” He later replaced it with: “Good on him for finally speaking out!”
Vogue’s published account of the wedding states that the couple’s first dance took place earlier in the evening, before singer Marc Anthony performed later. That version of events differs from Brooklyn’s claim that his planned first dance was disrupted.
