Ricky Martin uses ‘he’ in performance of ‘She’s All I Ever Had’
By Sam Rigby

Ricky Martin acknowledged his sexuality in a recent performance of She’s All I Ever Had.
During his performance at Morocco’s Marwazine Music Festival, the singer swapped the gender pronoun, in what many have seen as a subtle protest against the country’s anti-gay laws.
Homosexuality is illegal in the country, with the gay community facing imprisonment if they are caught engaging in same-sex relations.
During the performance, Martin sung: “It’s the way he understands / He’s my lover, he’s my friend / When I look into his eyes it’s the way I feel inside/Like the man I want to be / He’s all I ever need.”
The 42-year-old recently discussed his experiences as a single parent, following his split from boyfriend Carlos González Abella in January. He said that his sons still “have a lot of love”.
