Frankie Goes to Hollywood legend Holly Johnson has announced a UK tour for this October.

Titled ‘Dancing With No Fear’, the seven-date tour will call in at venues in Bristol, Birmingham, Glasgow, Newcastle, Liverpool and Manchester before reaching its climax at London’s IndigO2.

Johnson has delivered acclaimed sets at festivals in recent years, and sang Frankie Goes to Hollywood’s iconic chart-topper The Power of Love at Attitude‘s 20th Birthday Party in March, but this will be his first solo tour since he left the band in 1987.

“I’m really excited to be able to play songs that written throughout my career which spans more years than I care to mention. Being able to tour as a solo artist in the 21st Century with a back catalogue and new material is a very privileged position to be in,” Johnson said in an announcement on his website.

Johnson’s set will include material from his brand new solo album, which is due for release on September 15, as well as some of his best-loved Frankie and solo hits such as Relax, Two Tribes and Love Train.

The tour will also mark the 30th anniversary of Frankie Goes to Hollywood’s classic debut album Welcome to the Pleasuredome, which reached Number One on the UK’s Official Albums Chart and went on to go triple-platinum.
