‘X Men’s Singer expecting first child with female best friend

director Bryan Singer is expecting his first child in early 2015, it has been announced.

Singer, who revealed in an interview earlier this year that he has been in relationships with both men and women, is having a baby with his best friend, Queer As Folk US actress Michelle Clunie.

“I can confirm that Michelle Clunie and Bryan Singer are happily expecting a baby together in early 2015,” a representative for the 49-year-old director told E! 

“Best friends for 25 years, mother and father are both very excited about the upcoming birth and look forward to co-parenting the child together. The pair have been planning this baby for years and have been trying for the last two.”

Clunie took to Twitter earlier today (October 23) to confirm the happy news, saying:

I can’t wait to be a Mother. Thank you so much for all your love and support!!! #21stcenturyfamiliesrock
