Joe Locke has revealed a surprise new tattoo in his latest Instagram photo dump.

The Heartstopper actor shared some photos from his summer to the platform, with the final image revealing the piece of body art. The tattoo appears to be a small outline of a duck underneath his arm.

Locke captioned the carousel: “Summer of friends, fun, and duck tattoos in Ibiza.”

His new inking comes amid a particularly busy year

Other photos from the dump document a trip on the Orient Express with his mum, Locke with Netherlands Prime Minister and current Attitude cover star Rob Jetten, as well as Tobie Donovan and Dylan Mulvaney.

The new inking comes amid a particularly busy year for the 22-year-old, who has officially said goodbye to the role that made him a global star.

Heartstopper Forever, the feature-length conclusion to the Netflix series, landed on the streamer in July, bringing Charlie Spring and Nick Nelson’s story to an end after three seasons. Locke also served as an executive producer on the film alongside co-star Kit Connor, marking a new step behind the camera for the actor.

The film sees Charlie and Nick navigating the prospect of university and a long-distance relationship, with Locke describing the experience of finishing the franchise as feeling like “graduation”.

What are Joe Locke’s upcoming films?

Locke has also continued to expand his film career following his turn as Billy Maximoff/Wiccan in Marvel’s Agatha All Along.

He is set to appear alongside Andrew Scott and Olivia Colman in Elsinore, which explores the final years of actor Ian Charleson, as well as the upcoming thriller Black Church Bay. Both films are due to feature at this year’s London Film Festival.
