Stephen K Amos named Patron of the Albert Kennedy Trust
The comedian and TV personality has been a public supporter of the LGBT charity

Stephen K Amos has been named a Patron of the Albert Kennedy Trust.
The stand-up comedian, TV personality has been a public supporter of the AKT for several years and has raised the profile of the LGBT+ youth homelessness charity.
And now, the AKT named Amos as a Patron to the trust and the comedian said: “I am delighted and humbled to become a Patron of the AKT.
“I’ve been a long-time supporter of the charity and I’m proud to be vocal and visible in our community.
“The work AKT do is outstanding and most important as the young generation are our future.”
Tim Sigsworth MBE, Chief Executive of The Albert Kennedy Trust, said: “As the national LGBT youth homelessness charity, we need to ensure that young people feel empowered and included within society and our community following their experiences of rejection and abuse after coming out to their families and peers.
“AKT’s young people come from diverse backgrounds and often experience multiple forms of oppression.
“Stephen has a strong following amongst LGBT young people who identify with him as a gay person of colour; he is aligned with our values and beliefs and we know he will keep the issue of LGBTQ+ youth homelessness high on the agenda.”
