Ariana Grande has once again had one of her songs removed from a Donald Trump TikTok page after it was used to promote anti-trans views.
On the official Team Trump TikTok page, creators posted a video featuring the US president walking to a podium, using Grande’s ‘we can’t be friends (wait for your love)’ as the soundtrack.
The video featured text opposing transgender athletes competing in women’s sports, reading: “Men can’t have babies and should never compete in women’s sport.”

Grande soon took to the comments section, condemning the use of her song. She wrote: “Never use my music again. Also, your truth is false.”
The sound has since been removed. This is not the first time Grande has had to address the Trump administration directly over the use of her music to promote controversial views.
The White House previously posted a TikTok on 8 June promoting ICE immigration policies, captioned: “Bye-bye. President Trump has delivered the most secure border in history,” accompanied by Grande’s 2024 song ‘Bye’.

Grande wrote in the comments section: “Please do not use my music in relation to this barbaric, inhumane, heinous nonsense.” The song was later removed.
Grande has continued to express her support for trans rights, recently launching the Brighter Days Ahead Foundation, a new initiative supporting the LGBTQ+ community.
The foundation has continued to support national charities while she embarks on her Eternal Sunshine tour. As she now ends her tour in the UK, her foundation is supporting Save the Children UK, Micro Rainbow, The Proud Trust, Choose Love, LGBT Consortium and Trans+ Solidarity Alliance.
Grande concludes her Eternal Sunshine tour on 1 September 2026 at London’s The O2 Arena.
