Fox shared the sad news in statements on Twitter and Facebook.

“It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Myra Stratton. She was Samantha Fox’s partner and manager for the last 16 years,” read the message.

“She bravely fought cancer for the last 2 years but lost her battle on Sunday. Samantha asks for privacy as she grieves at this time.”

The couple had appeared previously together on an episode of Celebrity Wife Swap, where Samantha was paired with British comedian Freddie Starr, and Myra with his wife Donna.

Fox, who came out publicly in 2003 when declaring her love for Stratton, told The Sun of their plans to marry Stratton in a civil partnership back in 2009, and have Lemmy from Motorhead give her away.

“I have slept with other women but I’ve not been in love before Myra Stratton. People say I’m gay….I don’t know what I am,” she told The Sun.

“All I know is that I’m in love with Myra. I love her completely and want to spend the rest of my life with her.”

A source told The Sun Fox is absolutely devastated.

“She adored and loved Myra and her loss has created a huge hole in her life. Myra was Sam’s manager but also her best friend and lover. It’s a huge loss for her.”
