More than a third of LGBT men have considered taking their own life over the last year
The new survey also found that only 52 per cent of men were aware of the #MeToo movement

Over a third of LGBT men have considered taking their own life over the last year.
In a new external survey, ‘The State of Man’, by British GQ they questioned more than 1,000 men in the UK of all ages, sexual orientations, backgrounds an occupations while focusing on modern masculinity, mental health and sexual behaviour.
The survey – which was conducted by YouGov – found that over a third of LGBT men aged between 25 to 44 have thought about taking their own life in the last year.
It also found that nearly a half (45 per cent) of those questioned in the same age bracket have felt their life was not worth living – with 33 per cent being non-LGBT participants.
Of the most affected age group – the 25 to 34 year olds – six per cent have attempted suicide in the last 12 months but the figure dropped to five per cent for the LGBT+ community.
The study also found some shocking results about sexual harassment to women in the workplace including 15 per cent of men do not consider taking a picture up a woman’s skirt as workplace sexual harassment.
It also found that only 52 per cent of men aged 55 and over were aware of the #MeToo movement that has rocked the film, fashion and music industries.
