A man was beaten with hammers after being lured on Grindr.
Marc Power, from Dublin, reportedly planned to meet a man he was chatting to on Grindr when a group of teenage boys set a trap for him.
Taking to Facebook, Power shared images of his injuries and detailed the events of the attack.
He wrote: “I’ve just been the victim of a premeditated homophobic attack here in Dublin. Went to meet someone off grindr.
“Was meet with a group of teenage boys with weapons. They tried to kill me with these weapons. They were trying to hit me on the head with hammers.
“They didn’t manage but I’m in the emergency room in hospital with facial injuries and my car was destroyed. I’m ok but fucking angry.
“I need to find out why grindr allows violent scum to open accounts .
“The police were helpful but hands tied as dumb teenage scum fear nothing.
“I’m going to media about this hopefully these scum will be rounded up.
“Anyone of my fb friend’s in Ireland if you know any media people please help
