Man arrested in Saudi Arabia for flying rainbow flag

By Fabio Crispim

A Saudi man was arrested for flying the rainbow pride flag.

The man said he was “unaware” of the symbolism and he had bought it online because one of his children thought the colours were pretty.

The man flew the flag above his home in Jeddah and was arrested soon after.

However, the man was bailed and agreed to remove the flag from his home after an investigation.

Homosexuality is illegal in Saudi Arabia and punishments for homosexuality include death, castration and more.
