Australian actor Brenton Thwaites has implied he is bisexual in a recent interview.

The 25-year-old – who starred as Prince Philip in Disney film Maleficent earlier this year – made the remark when he was asked to name three qualities he looks for in a potential partner during an interview with The Fix.

“Male or female?” Thwaites asked. When the interviewer replied “Both,” he added: “Well, they’re very different.”

Thwaites found fame playing Stu Henderson on long-running Australian soap Home & Away between 2011-2012, and as well as Maleficent has starred in films such as the The Giver, opposite Meryl Streep, and horror film Oculus, alongside former Doctor Who actress Karen Gillan.

Meanwhile, One Direction star Harry Styles recently said that “being female isn’t that important” in a partner during an on-camera interview – find out more here.
