Lena Dunham has revealed that she won’t get married until her gay sister, Grace (pictured with Lena), is able to wed legally in every US state.

The Girls star has been dating Jack Antonoff, a member of US rock band fun, for around two years, but explained during a recent interview on Howard Stern’s radio show that her wedding plans are on hold until the US achieves full marriage equality.

“We’re not against marriage but I want to wait until it’s something – my sister’s gay and it just doesn’t feel good to me to do something she can’t do. She can do it in some places but not all places,” Dunham told listeners.

Dunham’s HBO comedy Girls, which she directs and writes as well as starring in, will return for its fourth season in January. She recently hinted that Zachary Quinto may get naked during his guest stint on the new season– find out more here.
