JK Rowling throws amazing Harry Potter shade at Donald Trump
By Will Stroude
JK Rowling has publicly slammed Donald Trump with an impeccable Harry Potter refrence following the US Republican presidential candidate’s latest controversial comment that all Muslims should be banned from entering the United States indefinitely.
Trump’s comments were made yesterday following last week’s shooting in California where a Muslim couple, believed to have been radicalised IS supporters, opened fire and killed 14 people.
In a campaign statement, the billionaire businessman – who terrifyingly remains the front-runner in the race for the Republican party’s 2016 election nomination – said a “complete” shutdown of Muslim immigration should remain until the US authorities “can figure out what the hell is going on”.
Trump’s comments were slammed by The White House as completely “contrary to US values”, and prompted various social media users to compare him to the irredeemably evil Dark Wizard Lord Voldermort from Rowling’s Harry Potter series.
One user even commented that Trump’s infamous comb-over was probably a ‘Horcrux’ that would have to be destroyed to stop the billionaire tycoon.
@Loolabette Somehow, Voldemort managed to be less cartoonishly evil than Trump despite being a cartoon evil guy.

The only way to stop Donald Trump is to destroy his Horcruxes. The wig is definitely one. If you need me I'll be finding the other six.

After picking up on the comments, Rowling took to Twitter to clarify that Trump was not in fact like Voldemort: He’s actually far worse.
How horrible. Voldemort was nowhere near as bad. https://t.co/hFO0XmOpPH

“How horrible”, the famously outspoken author wrote alongside to a link to the a story reporting the comparisons. “Voldemort was nowhere near as bad”.
Rowling’s the latest in a host of big name stars to publicly slam Trump, with the likes of Cher, Barbra Streisand and Ricky Martin firing their own incredible shots at the presidential hopeful in recent weeks.
There there Donald, we’re sure you and You-Know-Who would be really happy together.
