Janet Jackson confirms she’s delaying tour to have a baby

By Ben Kelly

Janet Jackson has revealed the reason why she paused her much-anticipated Unbreakable world tour: she’s hoping to start a family.

In a video released on her social media today (April 6), Jackson thanked all her fans, and said she wanted them to be the first to know about the “sudden change” which has stopped her tour.

“My husband and I are planning our family,” she beamed, “so I’m gonna have to delay the tour.”

She appealed to fans: “Please if you can try and understand that it’s important that I do this now. I have to rest up, doctor’s orders. I have not forgotten about you. I will continue the tour as soon as I possibly can.”

The Unbreakable world tour traversed much of the U.S. at the end of 2015, but all European dates for March, April and May 2016 were suddenly delayed.

The youngest of the Jackson clan, Janet was forced to deny rumours about her health in January after she called a halt to her tour, leaving many fans disappointed.

The 49-year-old pop superstar is married to 41-year-old Qatar-based business magnate Wissam Al Mana.
