Israel Folau shares anti-gay video on Twitter despite recent backlash
The Australian rugby star recently said all gay people will go to Hell unless they repent

Israel Folau has shared another controversial post on Twitter.
The Australian rugby star has been under scrutiny after saying on Instagram that gay people will all go to Hell unless they repent their sins to God.
But despite walking away without any punishment, the Wallabies player has defended his comments and now he has taken to Twitter to post a video from the late US evangelist David Wilkerson.
In the video, it calls for sinners to repent and refers to sexual perversions and references gay people a number of times.
In his tweet, Folau wrote: “With great love I wanted to share this video in the hope that people watch it and think about it.
“Jesus is coming back soon and he wants us to turn to him through repentance and baptism in the name of Jesus Christ (Acts 2:38) please don’t harden your heart [sic]”
Folau made his return to rugby on Saturday (May 5) and revealed he “stands firm” on his beliefs, the New Zealand Herald reports.

Speaking to AAP, Folau said: “I stand firm in what I believe in and that’s something personal with who I am.
“That’s something that comes truly from the bottom of my heart. That doesn’t interfere with anything to do with my rugby and the guys around me.
“As team-mates, I’m still the same person and I try to bring that energy as best I can when I’m around the team and obviously going out and playing on the weekends doesn’t change who I am.
“That’s the most important thing that I’ve learned probably the last month.”
