The lineup for this year’s Homotopia festival in Liverpool has been revealed.

The international LGBT festival – which runs from October 25 to November 20 – will feature an exciting mix of premieres, public appearances and exhibitions involving iconic ’60s actress Fenella Fielding, director Terence Davies, the work of Andy Warhol and more.

Reflecting on the introduction of equal marriage this year, the festival promises to interrogate faith and sexuality with events such as ‘In Conversation With Terence Davies’ and ‘Diva Debate’ with Vicky Beeching and Peter Tatchell.

Growing levels of anti-gay legislation and sentiment in Africa will also be explored during an event with director Mojisola Adebayo and drag queen diva Le Gateau Chocolat.

Attitude will once again serve as a Homotopia media partner this year – and we’re excited to be a part of the festival’s continuing success.

With renewed Arts Council support, Homotopia’s future has been guaranteed for another three years, and in addition to its partnership with the Walker Art Gallery, events will also be held this year at Tate Liverpool and Liverpool Playhouse.
