George Michael’s family claim his former lover Fadi Fawaz is ignoring legal letters asking him to leave the £5 million North London home.

The former Wham! frontman was found dead in his north London home on Christmas Day back in 2016 and last year his cousin Andros Georgiou revealed that most of his multi-million fortune will go to charities and his two sisters.

However, Michael’s lover Fawaz – who found his body and is still living in his £5 million home – contested the will after it was revealed he won’t be receiving anything.

But now, a source close to Michael’s family told The Sun that Fawaz is refusing the leave the property and are claiming he is using squatters rights.

The source said: “Fadi is being a real pain about all this.

“He has refused to leave despite several letters and requests in the last 18 months.

“He is blanking them out and it appears he now has squatters rights.

“It’s been going on for such a long time that it’s hard to know what to do next. The lawyers are seeing what can be done.

“It would be a lot easier if Fadi just upped sticks and left.”
