Disused London gasholder frames transformed into stunning new apartments

Industrial chic never looked so good.

By Will Stroude

Gasholders London is a new development of 145 apartments in the capital’s highly energised King’s Cross area.

Designed by RIBA Stirling and Lubetkin prizewinning WilkinsonEyre and located within a trio of Grade II-listed, cast-iron former gasholder frames, the apartments and duplexes have soaring Guggenheim-style atriums at their core, connected by circular walkways, and landscaped rooftop gardens.

Floor-to-ceiling windows allow residents to take full advantage of the surrounding urban landscape, while they can also environmentally finetune their pad at the touch of a button thanks to a smart built-in ambience system.

King’s Cross has enjoyed widespread regeneration over recent years and living in Gasholders London puts you right in the thick of an already buzzing part of town — a place full of trendy bars and restaurants.

Internal shared spaces include a business suite, entertainment suite with games room and screening room, and a spa and gym – so there’s no excuse for skipping leg day!

Industrial-chic architecture has never looked this good.
