Chelsea and England star Ruben Loftus-Cheek has denied rumours that he was going to be the first ever Premier League footballer to come out as gay.
Rumours erupted on social media last night claiming the England International star was about to make history as the first ever openly gay Premier League
However, Loftus-Cheek took to Twitter to show support to any LGBT+ football player while saying that the rumours were not true.
He wrote: “Any player who came out as gay, they’d have my full support and respect. But the rumour isn’t true.”

Currently there are no out Premier League footballers but former USA international Robbie Rogers came out just weeks after leaving Leeds and Thomas Hitzlsperger opened up about his sexuality after retiring.
