By Fabio Crispim

Following the result of the 2016 presidential election and the inauguration of Donald Trump, reports of harassment and violence towards LGBT people have increased.

Among those affected are students and as a result of the increase in homophobic discrimination, US organization GLSEN have launched a new campaign to help them.

The 100 Days of Kindness campaign is being supported by various celebrities who are sending messages of support to LGBT students with the hashtag #KindnessInAction.

According to Gay Star News, some of the celebrities backing the campaign include Sia, Sarah Silverman, Mark Ruffalo and Charlie Carver.

The campaign has since gone viral on social media as more people are sending messages of support to LGBT students.

The organization urges more users to join by sharing an image or short video of yourself along with a supporting message.
