Cape designer Armani labels Madonna ‘difficult’

By Ben Kelly

Fashion giant Giorgio Armani has spoken for the first time about the cape he designed for Madonna, which contributed to her fall at last month’s BRIT Awards.

Speaking at Paris Fashion Week on Tuesday, Armani appeared to blame the Queen of Pop for the mishap, saying, “This cape had a hook and she wanted a tie, and she wasn’t able to open it with her hands. That’s all there is to it.”

He added “Madonna, as we all know, is very difficult.”

In an Instagram post after her fall at the BRIT Awards, Madonna posted the image of Armani’s design for the cape, writing ‘Armani hooked me up! My beautiful cape was tied too tight!’

Madonna is currently in Paris as she continues to promote her album Rebel Heart, released on 9th March.
