BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend 2014 heading to Glasgow

BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend 2014 will take place in Glasgow.
The station’s annual event will be held at Glasgow Green across the weekend of May 23-25.
The weekend will kick off on May 23 with a night dedicated to dance music, before two days of music from a variety of high profile acts.
Nick Grimshaw confirmed this morning that Rita Ora and Paulo Nutini are the first acts on this year’s line-up.
Grimshaw said: “So excited to announce that we are going to be partying in Glasgow this summer! There is a rule that the further north you go, the more fun the gig will be so I’m psyched to be in Scotland this year.
“Big Weekend always has the best line up and kicking things off are Rita and Paolo. I can’t wait!”
Headline acts and ticketing details will be announced by BBC Radio 1 in March.
