Piers Morgan walked off the set of his talk show after clashing with HSTikkyTokky about his homophobic remarks.
HSTikkyTokky, whose real name is Harrison Sullivan, appeared on Piers Morgan Uncensored after featuring in Louis Theroux‘s Netflix documentary, Inside the Manosphere. The film, released last week (11 March), follows Theroux as he meets several figures within the online subculture.
Sullivan is one of the people featured in the documentary. His appearance includes a confrontation with Theroux about comments he made regarding sexuality and parenting.
HSTikkyTokky said he would “disown” a future son if he were gay
During the documentary, Sullivan said he would “disown” a future son if he were gay. When challenged about the remark, he said: “That’s not homophobic. I’m not homophobic, I just don’t want my family… I believe being gay as a son is a product of parenting.”
Theroux disputed that explanation during filming. The comment was raised again when Sullivan appeared on Morgan’s show.
Morgan told him the remark was “as homophobic as you can get”.
Sullivan replied: “I’d call it good parenting.”
The exchange escalated as the two continued to argue about the statement and Sullivan’s appearance in the documentary. Morgan said: “You’re making yourself look like a bigger idiot than you did on that Netflix show.”
“I watched the documentary and I think you’re a f****** idiot. I think you’re a sexist, misogynistic, homophobic twerp” – Piers Morgan
Sullivan responded by telling the broadcaster he looked like an “idiot everyday”.
Morgan then said: “I watched the documentary and I think you’re a f****** idiot. I think you’re a sexist, misogynistic, homophobic twerp, who got exposed in a global way by Netflix, by Louis Theroux.
“What you are, you’re a little halfwit and you’ll make your little followers and the little laughs and everything else. But on that sitting point, there’s no point of me wasting my time talking to you.”
The interview continued before Sullivan brought up an Instagram post from Morgan’s wife, journalist Celia Walden, showing her in a swimsuit. She has joked in her caption, “Applications now open.”
After the picture was shown during the exchange, Morgan said: “You know what? I’m not doing this.”
He then left the set while Sullivan remained on screen laughing.
