Watch: Behind the scenes of Keegan Hirst’s first Attitude cover shoot

By Will Stroude

“It’s been a bit manic, yeah,” says Keegan Hirst, in what could quite possibly be the understatement of the year.

We’ve given newly-out 27-year-old the Editor’s Special Award at the 2015 Attitude Awards, and in the accompanying issue we have the first gay press shoot – eight pages, in fact – with the man who recently became the first British Rugby League Player to come out.

Thomas Rabe, right, places a wedding ring on Robert Coffman's finger during a marriage ceremony at City Hall in Baltimore, Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013. Same-sex couples in Maryland are now legally permitted to marry under a new law that went into effect after midnight on Tuesday. Perhaps not disproving the myth that if you say the words ‘gay’, ‘rugby’ and ‘player’ in a row then attitude.co.uk will spontaneously appear from thin air, we were on the ground at Keegan’s steamy cover shoot in London last month, where naturally we made sure to document every pants-clad pose for you guys.

You can see the stunning results in our Awards Issue – out now – and check out all the behind the scenes action below. Enjoy…

You can read our full interview with Keegan in the Awards issue of Attitude, out now in shops. Order the digital copy from attitudedigital.co.uk or the print copy from newsstand.co.uk/Attitude
