Cher set to headline Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras
The legendary diva has reportedly secured top billing at Australia's biggest LGBT Pride event.

Hold on to your wigs, because it looks like Cher is heading Down Under for Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras.
Yep, the legendary singer and gay icon is reportedly about to sign on the dotted line to headline Australia’s biggest LGBT Pride festival.
The Sydney Morning Herald reports that while the deal is yet to be finalised, Cher is “almost locked in” to play at the March 2018 event, marking her first Pride performance since the ‘Believe’ singer took to the stage at New York Pride in 2013.
Rumours of Cher’s appearance in Sydney have been fuelled by the iconic diva herself, who cryptically tweeted “What am I doing in March?” earlier this month.
Meanwhile, Australian Radio Network appeared to break an embargo on the story last week after publishing a now-deleted article confirming Cher’s attendance.
Sydney Lesbian and Gay Mardi Gras is set to take on extra significance in 2018 as the first to be held since the passing of equal marriage in Australia earlier this month – and with the gays’ very own fairy godmother Cher in attendance, it would sure be one not to forgot.
